Flying
Flying is the easiest way and our colleague and friend Robert Herr of Herr Travel in Oderhieu can help with this There are a number of good budget airlines about to start to fly to Romania namely Wizz Air who will start a service to Bucharest from January 2007. Wizz Air are already providing an excellent service from London Luton to Budapest and provided you book well in advance is excellent value .Easy Jet fly to Budapest also and although they provide a good service, in my opinion
WIZZAIR
is the best carrier. From Budapest you can get a flight to Targu Mures on either Wizz or Blue Air which is about two hours from our Translyvanian Office.
Jet 2 fly to Budapest and I believe will start a service to Bucharest in 2007 although I have no personal experience of their service
Driving
Driving : Is an excellent way to get here but you should be warned that the roads are not good and it takes a long time to go relatively short distances. Remember you will need to purchase Vignettes if you travel through Austria ,Hungary and Romania and these can be purchased at the roadside at the border. Night Driving is NOT reccomended or early morning driving for the fient hearted. The Romanians will walk miles in dark clothing at night and are frequently drunk. You will also require the reactions of an F1 driver when you come accross the daily and nightly round up of the cattle which also wander around the road with no prior warning. In rural Romania Horses and Carts are still a very viable form of transport but they dont tend to be lit up at night and there are many of them....So be warned!

Coach Travel EuroLines
Coach Travel EuroLines: offer a service from London and other cities in the UK for around 200 Pounds Sterling return. Be warned this is a minimum 40hour continous bus ride and again not something I would wish to do!
Rail
Rail : You get an excellent Train Service from Budapest to Bucharest and vice versa to view our Translyvanian Properties you can get off at Sighisoara and we can meet you if required (a small fee is charged). (Its around 45 minutes each way from our offices) .
